An edition with accompanying CD came out later, but with internet videos, that’s obsolete. For me the book was perfect, but for absolute beginners it may be a rather steep learning curve If you still want to use solk “old” third finger approach, do drederick Ramsnake says and keep a gap between the 1st and second fingers.

This has the advantage of increasing the span of frets you can handle. There just always other pieces out there.

After having worked through this book, I have improved my technique, my musical repertoire, my note-reading abilities and have grown to love the classical guitar so much, that I haven’t picked up the electrical guitar since.
